Option 1 — Delete your account inside the app

This is the fastest way and works for every account type, including guest accounts.

  1. Open Lyn on your device.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Review the list of data to be deleted and tap Continue.
  5. Confirm your identity (password, Google or Apple sign-in). Guest accounts skip this step.
  6. Tap Permanently delete account.

Your account is deleted immediately. This action cannot be undone.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in, send an email to support@nachhilfe-mentor.de with the subject "Account deletion request".

Please send it from the email address linked to your account so we can identify you. We will confirm the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following is permanently removed:

  • Your account and login credentials
  • All learning projects & content
  • Learning progress & statistics
  • Flashcards & test results
  • Achievements & XP
  • Notification settings and scheduled reminders

What we keep, and for how long

Billing records: retained for up to 10 years where German commercial and tax law requires it (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB). These records are kept for legal compliance only and are not used to identify you as a user.

Usage analytics: anonymised, so it can no longer be linked back to you.

Backups: residual copies are removed within 30 days as backup cycles rotate.

Subscriptions purchased through Google Play or the App Store are billed by the respective store. Deleting your account does not cancel them — please cancel your subscription in your Google Play or App Store account settings.

Per E-Mail

Schreib an support@nachhilfe-mentor.de mit dem Betreff „Löschungsanfrage“, am besten von der Adresse, mit der du registriert bist. Wir bestätigen die Löschung innerhalb von 30 Tagen.

Was gelöscht wird

Konto und Zugangsdaten, alle Lernprojekte und Inhalte, Lernfortschritt und Statistiken, Karteikarten und Testergebnisse, Erfolge und XP sowie Benachrichtigungseinstellungen.

Was aufbewahrt wird

Rechnungsdaten bis zu 10 Jahre aufgrund gesetzlicher Aufbewahrungspflichten (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB). Nutzungsdaten werden anonymisiert. Backups werden innerhalb von 30 Tagen überschrieben. Abos musst du separat im Google Play Store bzw. App Store kündigen.
